About the me

I have loved painting for as long as I can remember. I had a famous artist who was my parent's friend taught me how to draw and oil painting in my early life. I actually taught middle school art for two years before I went to college to study Chemistry. I became a high school teacher taught Chemistry for three years after I graducated. Then, I went through a rigorous exam required to gain admission to the graduate school of the most famous electronic university in China and I got my Master's degree on Electronic Engineering. I published my research work on IEEE international conference and I spoke on the meeting in front of many scientists from all over the world.. I was dreaming to be a top scientist when I saw so many world famous scientists on the fild in that conference. I gathered all of the books I needed for the exam of a admission of Phd. student, but I finally gave up because I could not leave my little daughter. I worked as an Engineer for about 5 years and was named as the director of the electronic ceramic material research center when I guit my job. That was the time that engineer didn't get pay well and it was a struggle to see that I was not able to offer my little daughter she deserved. So I went to study fashion design, and opend my own fashion company. I worked very hard and many hours each day. I did make a lot money at the time, and gave my daughter whatever she wanted but my time. Next, as you know, money can't buy everything!

That was about my life before I came to America to join my husband.

I was amazed when I first saw a watercolor painting that looked like a photo. So I studied to do the same thing. When I eventually was able to paint watercolor like photo myself, I tired of it. That was where I stopped painting. I went to a local college to study photography. When I finally went back to painting again after two years, I paint still life from life, only from life. I think that is what I like. I like to see the shapes, colors, values through my eyes, not through camera, and that's the exciting part of painting which drives me to paint almost every day.

I am a full time painter now, I paint watercolor and oil. I will build a website for my oil paintings soon.

I am now living in Stroudsburg, PA with my husband Mark who has always encouraged and supported me to paint. My daughter, Michyla, who is my pride, she likes painting as well. She graducated from Notre Dame with double majors, scince and studio art, both with high honor. Her art professor told me that Michyla is The Best student she has ever had in her 20 years teaching career. Michyla is a third year medical student in University Michigan now.

You may noticed that I love school, and I love to learn new things. If I don't painting, study or learn something in the day, I feel the day is wasted. So, I paint and studay, that's all I do now.
